In a tranquil rural setting this delightful traditional whitewashed stone cottage is a perfect escape from it all. Enjoy the peaceful, unhurried pace of life, time and space to unwind, to relax and enjoy a holiday in one of Ireland's  most picturesque and undiscovered corners.

Mill Cottage is a 17th century stone dwelling part of Tobermoney Mill Village which is situated a few miles from Downpatrick in the heart of County Down in peaceful, rolling countryside known as the "Garden of Lecale". It is an idyllic romantic location with lovely views situated half a mile down a private lane.It has a large secluded cottage garden sheltered by ancient trees. The stream running alongside the garden is a very special feature and is safely fenced.

The cottage was sympathetically restored in 2004 using traditional workmanship and materials retaining quaint and interesting features to provide the highest quality self catering holiday accommodating for families.

Mill Cottage is an ideal base for exploring St. Patrick's country, the Mourne mountains and the nearby Strangford Lough, one of Europe's most important marine sites and designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Absolutely fabulous.  All we wanted and much more.
The cottage delightfully secluded and hidden away with real charm.  From open fires, board games, enjoying fresh oysters from Dundrum Bay with Guiness al fresco in the garden, to the children playing hid and seek in their PJs, a truly memorable family holiday. Thanks again.

Mill Cottage is the quintessential home away from home. The gardens are charming and one can enjoy rest and relaxation, in this charming well equipped home.

Mill Holiday Cottage location makes it simple to cycle or drive to some of the most beautiful Northern Ireland historical sites, shorelines, traditional pubs and wonderful bistros.

For those who love hiking, cycling, kayaking and almost any outdoor activity.......I highly recommend this home. Whether you live in the US, The Isles, or the Mainland you will find the travel to this location well worth the buck.

I would encourage all of my friends and family to book a holiday at Mill Holiday Cottage.
